KINGrinder K6

4.5

“A $110 hand grinder that feels premium and nails pour-over, French press and AeroPress.”

My take

Coming from a $10 Walmart grinder, the K6 was a big step up. The 630 g aluminum body feels heavy in the good way, the 48 mm burrs are big for the price, and it adjusts in tiny 16-micron clicks, so you can really dial in. Pour-over came out clean, French press was deep and rich, and AeroPress was sweet, juicy and clear. It's quiet too, so I can grind at 6 a.m. without waking anybody up.

What stood out

  • Solid 630 g aluminum body, feels premium
  • 48 mm burrs with 16-micron steps
  • My sweet spot: about 20–30 for pour-over, 15 for French press, 40 for AeroPress
  • Grounds can spill a little when you take it apart

Loved

  • Build quality
  • Versatile across brew methods
  • Quiet for early mornings
  • Two colors: dark and silver

Not so much

  • A few grounds escape when you open it

Who it’s for

Anyone who makes pour-over, French press or AeroPress at home every day.

How I brew it

Pour-over (Normcore glass dripper), French press and AeroPress
