“Really good espresso and drip from one dial, in 7.5 inches of counter.”

My take

I lived with the Demi through real 6:30 a.m. mornings. It's a super-automatic: beans and water in, turn one dial, press, coffee. It was set up in under 10 minutes, it rinses itself, and the puck bin slides right out. The espresso is genuinely good, and the drip-style coffee surprised me most. The trade-offs: a small water tank, no milk frother, and shots a little softer than a dialed-in manual machine.

What stood out

  • Only about 7.5 inches wide
  • One dial: espresso, lungo, Americano, drip or hot water
  • Drip-style coffee is the surprise standout
  • No app, no touchscreen, no account

Loved

  • Tiny footprint
  • No learning curve
  • Easy cleaning
  • Great drip and Americanos

Not so much

  • Small water tank (about 4 cups)
  • No built-in frother
  • Softer shots than a manual machine
  • Only a few grind settings

Who it’s for

Easy to recommend if you want espresso and Americanos with no learning curve and little counter space. Skip it if you mostly drink lattes or love pulling your own shots.

How I brew it

Americanos and drip coffee most mornings, grind setting 3
