Guatemala Hunapu

“Chocolatey, easygoing and always in my cabinet.”

My take
Kuma calls Hunapu its daily drinker, and they've bought it from the same small farmers on the slopes of the Agua volcano for about a decade. It smells chocolatey and fruity at the same time. The cup is mellow and deep, a fruit-punch note hits first, then it fades into sweet chocolate. If you like a chocolatey, bolder coffee, this is your bag. It's the one I'm personally keeping at all times.
What stood out
- Fruit punch first, then sweet dark chocolate
- Full, sweet and easy to drink every day
- The instant version is the best instant coffee I've had (about $3 a cup)
- I've been to Antigua, which made this one extra fun
Who it’s for
Anyone who wants a chocolatey, everyday cup. Grab the instant packs for camping.
How I brew it
Drip, black, through the Terra Kaffe Demi
